In Search of Humans

So here’s what’s going on. We’re developing this project as a feature film with producer Mark Johnson and company. It’s got a great character and awesome visual potential. So while that development process is taking it’s course, we’re moving forward on developing some of the visuals. And we’d like to invite you into that process.

It’s part adventure, part comedy. It follows the quest of janitor turned space explorer, Nicodemus Sparks, as he searches for the rarest creature in the galaxy — something called a Human. Along for the ride is his loyal robot companion, Rivit.

Currently, we’re creating a short test scene using our brand new mocap system. It will center around Nico and Rivit’s exciting launch from their world into the great unknown. This should be fun for other artists and aspiring animators to follow along as we post concept designs, animation tests, hopefully even video journals. So check back every once and a while, subscribe to my twitter feed @wesball for updates, and hopefully we’ll see you around.
